The Bridging the Digital Divide: The 1st Workshop for AI in Advancing Health aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, and community members to:
- Explore challenges and opportunities of using AI/ML to promote healthy communities
- Showcase latest research on digital divide issues in healthcare
- Foster collaborations between various communities and stakeholders

Schedule
Decisions about the exact schedule are being coordinated with the ICHI 2025 general chairs. At this time, it is too early to publish a firm or tentative schedule. We will update this page once the workshop date and sessions are finalized.
Submission
We are inviting contributions to the AIHE 2025, including regular papers, short papers, and abstracts for posters:
- Regular papers (8-10 pages, references not counted): describes mature ideas with substantial implementation/data analysis.
- Short papers (4-6 pages, excluding references): describes innovative ideas with preliminary validation.
- Abstracts (1 page, including references): describes work in progress or preliminary results.
Your submissions must adhere to the IEEE Proceedings Format . All papers will be submitted via EasyChair . When choosing a Track, please select “ICHI - AIHE workshop”.
Topics for submission may include any aspect of using AI to advance health. Potential areas of focus include:
- AI/ML efforts and applications for promoting healthy communities
- Methodological and research design innovations to ensure valid and generalizable AI/ML discovery
- Ethical considerations and the role of AI/ML in addressing the digital divide
- Approaches for improving data quality and model reliability
- Reproducibility, transparency, and responsible processes in AI/ML development for health

Submissions must contain author names & affiliations. The review process will be single-blinded.
We welcome submissions (papers, talks, demos) from all disciplines and backgrounds— especially those historically under-resourced—to advance AI in promoting healthy communities.
Note: Workshop papers will be included in the same proceedings volume as the main conference. Therefore, camera-ready files of accepted workshop papers must be uploaded by April 10th, or they will not be included in the proceedings.
